Susan's Story - 28 Yr Old Utah Missing Mother Of 2 By Karen Anne RN Sunday night, December 6,2009 at around midnight, was the last time 28 year old Susan Powell has been seen. According to her husband, Joshua, she went to bed just a little after midnight, and he then got his 2 year old and 4 year old sons who were reportedly recovering from the flu, out of bed, and took them in the only vehicle the couple owns, to a campground three hours from their home in West Valley City, Utah. He said that he wanted to test out a new generator he had bought, and that his sons like to have S'mores in the morning. The temperature was sub-zero, during a snow storm. He told ABC News that they went to Pony Express Trail to campout, and he told police that he went to Simpson Springs. Early Monday afternoon, Joshua received a cell phone call. He learned that police were in his home because the entire family had been reported missing. Neither he nor his wife had called in to work to report that they would not be there. Police found no sign of his wife, and no signs of a break-in. Her purse and cell phone were found on the bed, and they reported that there were 2 fans blowing on a wet spot on the living-room carpet. When later asked why he did not call in to work, Joshua replied that he had thought that it was Sunday. Police are trying to determine where Joshua traveled in a rental car two days after Susan disappeared. He reportedly logged hundreds of miles on the vehicle, during the 24 hours ...
